Lemniscate
Version 1.0 · In force since 9 August 2026
Lemniscate Labs LLC operates Lemniscate as an online service provider under the U.S. Digital Millennium Copyright Act (DMCA), 17 U.S.C. § 512. This page sets out our designated agent, how to send a takedown notice, how to send a counter-notice, and our policy on repeat infringers. It applies to lemniscate.network, app.lemniscate.network and the Lemniscate apps.
We can act on material we actually host: public channels, public posts, the public group directory, public profiles and public media.
We cannot act on private messages, private groups or calls. Those are end-to-end encrypted — we do not hold the keys and we cannot read, review or remove their contents. A notice about private content cannot be processed, because the material is not on our systems in a form we can access. This is a property of the product, not an attempt to obstruct any lawful claim.

Please be accurate. Under § 512(f), anyone who knowingly and materially misrepresents that material is infringing may be liable for damages, including costs and legal fees.
If your material was removed and you believe that was an error or a misidentification, you may send a counter-notice under 17 U.S.C. § 512(g)(3) to the same agent. It must include:
If we receive a valid counter-notice, we forward it to the party who sent the original notice. Unless that party tells us they have filed a court action seeking to restrain the activity, we restore the material no fewer than 10 and no more than 14 business days after receiving your counter-notice.
We have adopted and we reasonably implement the following policy, and every user is informed of it through these pages and our Terms of Service.
We accommodate and do not interfere with standard technical measures used by copyright owners to identify or protect their works, within the meaning of 17 U.S.C. § 512(i)(2), where such measures are available to us and apply to material we host.
